Hi!
I am Karina, an illustrator and fiber artist based in Brazil. I believe in the power of slow and peaceful work amidst a restless world, and in its ability to transform and communicate.
Threads and fabrics are part of my family history and are now my chosen medium of expression. My work embodies embroidery and other textile techniques and it is inspired by soft and neon colors, the beauty and strength of everyday life, feelings and an abundance of stars.
I’m also inspired by simple living and when I’m not embroidering I’ll be probably knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading or enjoying time with my family, friends and cats. (Maybe I spend too much time on my smartphone too, and changing this is another work in progress.)
